I’ve been in love with Amanda Blank ever since I heard her on Spankrock’s Bump track. When I first heard her sexy verse I looked her up on Wiki and didn’t find anything – but now she’s got an entry. Discovered she’s also in a band called Sweatheart. Is it on Rhapsody? YES!
Great stuff, sounds nothing like what they look like when they play. They remind of an indie rock version of Stink MittCheck it out

Convergence is an amazing thing. Sonos announced yesterday their partnership with Sirius; you can now listen to your Sirius stations on your Sonos. Essentially it’s just a ton more radio channels, but it’s great for Sirius car-subscribers like myself who want to hear Howard Stern in the morning in the house. Now I’ll be able to program my Sonos to tune into Stern in the morning, just like I used to wake up to Stern on Live 105 when I was in middle school. The only sucky thing is that it requires the ‘premium radio subscription’ for $2/mo for the fancy interface…there are other workarounds though. The basic internet radio (32kbps) isn’t available over Sonos.
Good tips for those who aspire to have a house free of clutter and junk. I’m almost there with my kitchen, just need to clear up my other rooms now. Although somewhat devoid of “character” I kind of like the bareness of my house. Nothing on the walls, no decorations, just texture and surfaces. Maybe I’ll polish my granite again…
Acid Jazz, love it. Quannum, love em’. Def Jux, ditto. Blended perfectly and you get Galactic’s new funky fresh album From the Corner to the Block.
Guests include Lyrics Born, Mr. Lif, Gift of Gab, Z-Trip, and more.
A very kind youtube viewer (and fellow Mirah fan) saw my Mirah -- Don’t video and helped me find the mp3! Off the Ragazza Pop compilation album, I couldn’t find this album for sale on any US based website -- this made my week.
Fun, poppy, mo-town feel to the song check it out:

I was excited to write about my new toaster, but thanks to a couple Debbie Downers I’m only mildly excited now. So anyway, I got this Back to Basics Egg & Muffin toaster from Target last night. I eat a breakfast sandwich at work at least once a week so it’ll be nice to make my own for a change. Basic concept: poach/steam an egg while you toast your muffin/bread/bagel. It synchronizes the cooking of the egg and the toasting so they will be done at the same time. The unit itself is an amalgamation of ugly, but I suppose metal outsides would stay even hotter to the touch.
Here’s the parts: Toaster (duh), tray for hard boiling eggs, tray for egg, pre-cooked meat heater rack and steam cover. You just fill the the metal heating dish with a few table spoons of water and then oil the egg pan and put it all back together and hit the button. In 4-5 minutes you got yourself an instant breakfast sandwich. Clean up was real easy, just had to wash the egg pan and a quick wipe of the heating dish with a paper towel.

I scrambled the egg, but next time I’ll try it without scrambling. Foom claims I won’t ever use the poaching/steaming portion ever again and I should have just gotten a 8-slot toaster (in case I ever got friends…*sob*) I still want to eventually get a toaster oven for pizza toast.
