Flooring sneak peek
My hardwood floors & carpet have been installed this week! I snuck in today to take a peek but the flooring was all covered by taped down cardboard. From the small areas I could see, the wood is not as deep red as I thought. The flooring is by Kentwood; and from the picture on the website you can tell it isn't very red either. The flooring is 4 3/4", I wish I was 5" like my brother's dark colored floors. My buddy in the remodeling business tells me that since my hardwood is solid and 3/4", it's going to last forever since it can be sanded - thickness of 3/4".
Small preview off the Kentwood site - definitely not as "yellow" as the standard red oak.
The carpet has been installed in most areas too - Tuftex Carrara in Wilderness color. Nice thing about the carpet is the deeper colors because of the weave.
