The house has really come along! I have been hesitant to take a deeper plunge into looking at furniture and ideas because it really can be overwhelming – especially since I did not have even the haziest idea what the house will look like once it was done. Now that tile has been laid in the bathrooms, I can at least start to think about bathroom ideas.
The downstairs powder room shower. Thankfully the shower is tiled all the way to the top – I was afraid that it would be short like the fiberglass shower that was in there before. The color appears to be grey/earth tone/neutral so I suppose anything can go well with it. I think I will probably stick to an earth-tone or neutral color scheme.
Here’s the laundry/mud room. Not much to say here.The builder’s interior designer helped us pick this one since my brother and I did not have much clue/preference for laminate flooring. Neutral-looking, a safe choice.
The master bath looks very warm in this light. I don’t remember if it is as ‘yellow’ in person.
I love the color variation in the floor tiles in this hall bath. I love the dark tile as well, I’d be tempted to have the walls painted a dark cement color to complete the look.
Just thought I’d share some pictures while I explore ideas on how to turn this semi-traditional house into one with more modern flair.
