Two new music sites - Critical Metrics and Yottamusic
Read a fascinating interview on boingboing with the co-founders of Wired and Suck - their new venture is called Critical Metrics, a recommendation aggregator across all online media. The site features playlists, recommendations and instant playback. The interview mentions possible Rhapsody integration which is brilliant - taking advantage of the Rhapsody API to offer additional perspectives on music.
They specifically mention Yottamusic which is a fast and useful Rhapsody “skin” that allows easier playlist creation. I haven’t had a chance to play with Yottamusic yet and I was surprised to even learn that we had this partnership.
Interesting that the instant playback on the front page of Critical Metrics looks like the same flash mp3 player I use on this blog…I wonder how they got the rights to be able to play full-length top 50 songs.
Here are what other people are saying about Yottamusic:

Yotta is the best search box ever

Bluemenu+Yotta
Update: wow the more I read about Yottamusic the more I want to try it (It’s not working for me right now) - they even added a social element to Rhapsody so you can easily see what other users are listening to.
