For the mad doodler, obsessive note taker, or plain ol’ children, the Arash and Kelly Genius Table fits the bill. Basically just one huge post-it pad on top of an end table, the utility is endless. Maybe IKEA will rip this off and make it cheaper (currently ?100). [via boingboing]

“Maybe IKEA will rip this off and make it cheaper”??? : How about Maybe IKEA would prefer to take it on and pay Arash and Kelly a fair royalty for their hard work?

I had a table like this in 5th grade. My parents bought it for me from Montgomery Wards. It was a lot better shaped than this one appears to be, but refils were like 20 bucks. It was cool because there were like 300 sheets, but if you didnt use them up the corners frayed and it just looked hideous. I give the original execution a B- for some almost original ideas and a C for execution. Arash and Kelly would get an F for cheating as it looks to be a clear rip off of the old idea, but it looks like maybe they’d never seen it before, so I’ll give them a D for an unoriginal thought and an apparently poor, poor execution of it.
Wait, 100 quid for this thing? Nevermind, F.
