Abode in the making
Well its official. Most of the paperwork has been signed and once I secure lending, Issaquah will be my home for the next 5 years at least. I’ve been nervous, anxious, and uneasy about this decision but I think it is probably the right thing to do. Not many people my age have the opportunity to build equity like this, so I am very grateful and fortunate in that regard. I will have to live frugally for the coming years, but I consider it to be a significant investment in the booming Seattle housing market. I am also glad that my parents will have a place to stay for extended periods of time when they come to visit me and my brother’s family.
The next steps will be a series of decorating/upgrade meetings with the builder and trying to save money for appliances, furnishings and consumables.
Here’s some pictures of the build site
