Action packed weekend

The spot between my balls and asshole is sore. It’s called a perineum. Why? How? What? TMI?

On Saturday morning Pat and I went to a BBTC Mountain bike boot camp clinic in St. Edwards State Park. It was for beginning mountain bikers to learn the skills necessary for riding. We went through lessons and drills such as braking lines, shift timing, proper balance technique and riding position, and how to get over small obstacles. It was very fun and informative and a good way to meet other riders. All the instructors were helpful and told us about other great places to ride. Unfortunately it started to rain so we were only able to get in a short ride and put our lessons to use. In the evening Pat, Joyce and I went to see her friend’s interpretive dance group performance.

It was…interesting. I have pictures, but it’s just going to look like other dance performances. Just imagine someone in the middle of a dimly lit stage imitating what a wilting flower would look like…………..yeah…not my thing either. I find it remarkable that some people are able to creatively express themselves through movement, something I don’t think I am capable of.

Afterward we met up with Rizz (Joyce’s dancer friend), and we went to eat Persian food (mainly because we couldn’t decide on what to eat, and I had a craving for Fesenjan). I used to eat Fesenjan every Friday when I was in college, so it’s been quite a while.

On Sunday, I met up with the girls again to play tennis. I played Pat singles and I finally won a set against him, but I think he let me win since he didn’t even break a sweat. Maybe he felt sorry for me since I can look pretty frustrated on the court especially when I drop the F-bomb at every mistake I make. It’s the competitive side of me manifesting itself again; but trust me, to me, competition is FUN.
We had dimsum for lunch and then went to buy some shin guards since our calves were banged up from the day before. We went to St. Edwards again to ride. Here are some of the pics we took.
